As part of initiatives to ensure environmental cleanliness and public health safety, the Assembly, led by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Emmanuel Adotey Allotey, has presented sanitation tools and equipment to stakeholders within the municipality.

In the exercise of powers conferred on the Ga Central Municipal Assembly by section 181 of the Local Government Act 936 of the 1992 constitution, every house, business, institution etc. has the responsibility to clean their frontage including desilting of drains, weeding and sweeping. Also, all businesses and shop owners are required to clean their surroundings every morning before they start the day’s business.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Emmanuel Adotey Allotey, together with officials of the Assembly have carried out an official inspection of the ongoing construction of the ground floor of a two-storey, 6-unit classroom block for the Anyaa M/A Basic School at Antie-Aku.

The Department of Urban Roads of the Ga Central Municipal Assembly has commenced a series of road rehabilitation and drainage construction works in the Nii Okaiman East and Agape electoral areas as part of its April 2026 infrastructure upgrade program. The works, which began in the first week of April, are aimed at reshaping feeder roads, constructing concrete drains, and improving culverts in areas that have long suffered from poor road conditions and seasonal flooding.

Emmanuel Adotey Allotey, the Municipal Chief Executive of Ga Central Municipal Assembly and the Heads of Department on Sunday, 7th December, 2025, engage the landlord, tenants, and residents under the Nii Okaiman West electoral area (Tabora 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6, , Alhaji, Living Spring, Scorpion Down Ankofa) and interacted with the landlords associations and residents at the Foursquare Chapel International.

The Ga Central Municipal Assembly has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing Ghana’s agricultural sector by honoring and equipping farmers within the municipality during the 41st National Farmers Day celebration held on December 5, 2025. .

The Ga Central Municipal Assembly organized a stakeholder meeting with the Landlords association, GPRTU and the residents of Antie Aku electoral area (Nsumfa, C.P, Kokompe and Awoyo) to brainstorm over issues concerning the Municipality. The meeting took place at House of Peace Church on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

The maiden edition of the National Sanitation Day, after the Presidential relaunch, took off successfully across the Ga Central Municipality on Saturday, 4th October, 2025, with residents, traders and shop owners actively participating in the clean-up process championed by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Emmanuel Adotey Allotey.

The MCE, Hon. Emmanuel Adotey Allotey has in a symbolic event, inaugurated Community Security Personnel under the youth employment program at the forecourt of Assembly. This initiative from the government aims to enhance security and foster community engagement in the municipality while creating jobs for the youth.

Staff of the Education Directorate led by the Municipal Education Director have accompanied the Municipal Chief Executive of the Ga Central Municipal Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Adotey Allotey, together with the Municipal Coordinating Director for Ga Central Municipal Assembly, Mr. John Owusu Koranteng, to embark on ‘MY FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL’ visitation which is a yearly event.

The Ga Central Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Emmanuel Adotey Allotey, has distributed 20 laptop computers to all Assembly members and government appointees of the Assembly. The distribution is in fulfilment of a promise made to Assembly members by the MCE. In all, thirteen (13) assembly members and seven (7) government appointees received the laptop computers.

Emmanuel Adotey Allotey, has commissioned a twelve (12) unit classroom block at Abeka Motorway Basic School on Thursday, 4th September, 2025.

The Department of Social Welfare and Community Development of the Ga Central Municipal Assembly, headed by Madam Lydia Apaalah, has distributed income-generating tools and equipment to Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs) in the municipality. The ceremony, which took place on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, had the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Emmanuel Adotey Allotey, Assembly members, traditional leaders, heads of departments and representatives of the Disability Council in attendance. This, is aimed to promote inclusion, equity, and empowerment for PWDs.

The Ga Central Municipal Assembly has received a significant donation of fifty thousand Ghana Cedis cheque (GHC50,000.00) from Regimanuel Construction Production Limited to support Education, Infrastructure, and Sanitation initiatives in the Municipal Education Directorate. This contribution was made possible after a stakeholders’ meeting held on June 24, 2025, where Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Emmanuel Adotey Allotey, engaged with various groups to discuss developmental challenges.

TThe Ga Central Municipal Assembly (GCMA) on June 27, 2025 conducted a training program for its revenue staff on revenue mobilization and customer relation. This initiative is a testament to the Assembly's commitment to building the capacity of its staff and improving service delivery.

The Ghana Health has confirmed two cases of Mpox outbreak in the Greater Accra Region and as a result of this Ga Central Municipal Assembly has also recorded one case at Chantan in other to curb the spread of the disease.A meeting was held by Chief Executive, The Coordinating Director and The Health Director of the Assembly to put a team together for public Sensitization on the outbreak of the Mpox disease.

The Ga Central Municipal Health Directorate in collaboration with Anyaa Polyclinic has marked the Child Health Promotion Week under the theme “Every Child Deserves a Healthy Future; Invest in Your Child”. The program which is aimed at promoting the health and well-being of children in our communities also underscored the importance of investing in the health of children to ensure they have a bright future.

During the period under review, sixty (60) PWDs were brought together and trained in income generating to improve upon their living condition which also as the core mandate of the Assembly.

The Ga Central Municipal Assembly's Works Department has been actively engaged in various construction projects within the municipality. Although specific details on projects undertaken from January to March, 2025 are limited, here are some notable projects completed or ongoing in the municipality; Drainage Works at Kwashieman Church Road, Construction of 0.6m U Drain around Research Road, Speed hump on selected roads within Ga Central to improve road safety

The Ga Central Municipal Assembly has marked Ghana’s 68th Independence Day Anniversary with a colorful parade and a call on residence to adopt a culture discipline ,transparency to improve on reduce expenditure.

The training program on co-operative concept, held on 4th March, 2025, at the Ga-Central Municipal Assembly’s Conference Room, was a pivotal event that brought together poultry farmers, experts and stakeholders to discuss the benefits of co-operative concepts in their business and also to educate them on certain important things they should do and not do as poultry farmers. The program, subtitled “A Pathway to Collective Growth, aimed to educate poultry farmers on the importance of collective growth, cooperation and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The Ga Central Municipal Assembly's Social Welfare Department has taken a significant step towards promoting child protection and safeguarding children's rights with a recent sensitization campaign on 3rd March, 2025. The campaign aims to raise awareness about child protection issues and engage community members, parents, and caregivers in discussions on preventing child abuse.

The Greater Accra Regional Minister officially launched the Regional Sanitation Day at Madina, prompting assemblies across the region (including areas near Ga Central) to participate in community cleanup drives. This initiative emphasized improved waste management, public health, and hygiene promotion

The Ga Central Municipal Assembly (GCMA) organized a comprehensive training program on data management and reporting for its Heads of Department/Unit and selected staff. The training, which took place on 31st January, 2025, aimed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge to manage data effectively. residents.

The Ga Central Municipal Assembly's Urban Roads Department is working tirelessly to maintain roads within the municipality, including those in areas like Israel. Under the leadership of the Urban Roads Engineer, Mr. John Armah, the department has outlined ongoing projects to be tackled to improve the condition of roads, ensuring they are safe and accessible for residents.
