Infrastructure Development & Maintenance Plan, supervise, and manage the construction and maintenance of roads, drains, culverts, public buildings, and other infrastructure. Ensure quality standards in civil works and projects. Building Permit & Development Control Collaborate with the Physical Planning Department to assess building permit applications. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with approved building plans and safety standards. Identify and report unauthorized developments for enforcement action. Public Works Supervision Provide technical advice and supervision on Assembly-funded projects. Ensure that contractors follow contractual terms and technical specifications. Environmental Sanitation Infrastructure Support the provision and maintenance of sanitation infrastructure such as public toilets, landfill sites, and waste transfer stations. Collaborate with the Environmental Health Unit in waste management programs. Urban Roads Management Maintain and rehabilitate urban and feeder roads in conjunction with the Department of Urban Roads. Implement traffic and transportation management systems. Property Valuation & Asset Management Maintain a database of Assembly assets and infrastructure. Assist in property valuation for revenue generation and compensation purposes. Disaster Risk Management Assess and mitigate disaster-prone infrastructure conditions (e.g., flooding areas, weak bridges). Collaborate with NADMO and relevant agencies during emergencies. Support to Other Departments Offer technical assistance to other departments within the Assembly, especially on engineering, construction, and procurement issues. Reporting & Documentation Prepare periodic reports on ongoing and completed works. Keep detailed records of municipal infrastructure and related activities.
