MCE AND DEPARTMENTAL HEADS EMBARK ON SITES VISIT WITHIN THE GA CENTRAL MUNICIPALITY

he Municipal Chief Executive of Ga Central, Hon. Mohammed Bashiru Kamara, conducted a site visit on 24th January, 2024, to interact with residents in the race course area regarding complaints made by landlords about Dankach Cargo door to door Shipping and Logistics company whose work activities is disturbing residence in the area.

Hon. Chief Executive Officer of the Assembly was accompanied by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. John Owusu Koranteng, the Municipal Works Engineer, Mr. Frederick Okyere Sackey, the Deputy Director, Hamaratu Tani Abudulai, the Physical Planning Director, Mr. Ibrahim Umar, the Revenue Director, Mr. Muntari, the Director of Transport, Mr. Darlington Baffour Awuah, and other departmental heads.

The MCE and his team first visited the site of the shipping and logistics company to interact with owner and hear his side of the issue and advised him to move his vehicles to the race course park. During the visit, Hon. Mohammed Bashiru Kamara and the various departmental heads interacted with the landlords on sanitation and environmental issues in the area, urging them to abide by the "Operation Clean Your Frontage" activities to maintain a clean environment and prevent chocking of gutters and flooding during heavy rains. The MCE and his entourage also visited the Joma Police station at Ablekuma., where they were welcomed by the District Commander, ASP Kwabena Asare, who took the team round the newly constructed police station which is nearing completion.

While on the way to the office, Hon. MCE and his team members made a brief stop at a fitting shop near the Municipal Assembly and warned them about parking on the roadside, giving them a grace period to remove the vehicles from the road or otherwise face sanctions by the assembly using its by-laws.
