he Social Welfare and Community Development Department of the Ga Central Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with the Information Services Department, has taken the steps to educate residents on the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) reassessment programme.
Speaking on 7DSTV, the Municipal Social Welfare Officer, Madam Lydia Apaalah, stated that the programme has had a positive impact on beneficiaries, enabling them to access basic necessities like food, healthcare and education therefore urging eligible beneficiaries to take part in the reassessment exercise and update their information.
"We are working to ensure that the support reaches the most vulnerable in our communities," she said.
The LEAP programme aims to provide financial support to vulnerable households and individuals in the Municipality. The reassessment exercise is part of efforts to update beneficiary data and ensure that support reaches those who need it most.
