The Ga Central Municipal Assembly's Works Department has been actively engaged in various construction projects within the municipality. Although specific details on projects undertaken from January to March, 2025 are limited, here are some notable projects completed or ongoing in the municipality; Drainage Works at Kwashieman Church Road, Construction of 0.6m U Drain around Research Road, Speed hump on selected roads within Ga Central to improve road safety. The assembly has awarded contracts for road construction projects in various electoral areas within the municipality, aiming to improve road networks and infrastructure development. Some of the roads under construction or planned for construction include; Adu Gyamfi road, Anyaa Zonal Council Road, Agape Road, Drainage and Culvert Construction. In relation to this, the Works department embarked on an inspection exercise to inspect ongoing construction of six-unit block at Grata D basic school at Awoshie. This will facilitate teaching and learning for school children at the kindergarten level. At the time of the officers’ visit, work was actively in section as the contractor was on site to supervise. The project is expected to be completed very soon. These projects demonstrate the Ga Central Municipal Assembly's commitment to improving infrastructure and addressing developmental challenges within the municipality.
